Magic Butterfly Blue Pea Flower Lemonade


Sweet, tangy, fragrant...but most of all magicalThis homemade Magic Butterfly Blue Pea Flower Lemonade beats anything you can pull off a store shelf.  Steeping butterfly blue pea flower blossoms will bring a brilliant royal blue hue to your cup, but the real show begins when you add citrus...watch the brew turn from blue to purple right before yours eyes.  Some call it chemistry, we call it magic!  
Ingredients
3 cups of warm water
1/3 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of fresh-squeezed lemon juice
3 cups of ice
3 cups of soda water
*lemon and/or fresh rosemary sprigs for garnich
Method
1 | Make Butterfly Blue Pea Flower tea by placing the dried blossoms in a bowl; add the warm water and soak for 3 minutes.
2 | Using the back of a spoon, press the blossoms against the bottom of your bowl to extract the colour; once vivid enough, strain and discard the blossoms.
3 | Add the sugar to the butterfly blue pea flower tea and use a spoon to stir until completely dissolved.
4 | Mix the lemon juice with the sweetened tea mixture.
5 | Fill serving glasses with ice.
6 | Pour the Magic Butterfly Blue Pea Flower Lemonade over the ice, up to about half of each glass.
7 | Fill the rest of each glass with soda water and garnish with lemon slices and rosemary sprigs; stir and enjoy!
