Additional Info

  • This is a 2-hour riverboat sunset cruise down the beautiful Grand River - guests will enjoy the hands-on experience of creating a needle-felted object/scene in a teacup led by local fibre artist and wool painter Carolyn Parks, plus time to enjoy the views (there's always beautiful wildlife to spot!)
  • Each guest will be served loose-leaf tea onboard, which will be accompanied by some light tea treats
  • The cruise has a bar service, which would be paid by guests (cash, credit, or debit)
  • The riverboat is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible washroom onboard
  • Each guest will be provided a teacup in which they'll create their art; the teacup and your creation go home with you!

On the evening of Wednesday, August 20, 2025, All Things Tea is thrilled to set sail with special guest Carolyn Parks. Carolyn is a wool painter and needle felter who lives and makes art in St. Jacobs, Ontario. An achieved artist and celebrated teacher, Carolyn is in her element when she is helping others unleash their inner artist through the magic of wool.

In Carolyn's words, "Wet and needle-felted art often create reactions of wonder in people. Even though wool has been used since antiquity by many cultures for clothing, decor, and art, it is still not recognized widely for its modern use in art. From the whimsical to the majestic, to the fashionable to the functional, wool is versatile, exciting, and gorgeous."

Join us as we sail into the sunset, using our hands to create something fun...all within a teacup, of course! This experience is perfectly suited to absolute beginners and non-beginners alike.

Please note that when you register online for your seat (limited spaces available!), All Things Tea will email you to confirm that you're registered. Closer to the event, we will send an email with all the details you need to guarantee a lovely experience!

There are no refunds for this event. We sail, rain or shine (don't worry, there's a lovely inside room for us to enjoy, should it rain).
